Rashmi C. Praba
Associate Vice President for Finance & Operations

Ms. Rashmi C. Praba serves as associate vice president for Student Affairs. With 18 years of experience at San Diego State University, Ms. Praba has held progressively responsible programmatic, budget, human resources and management roles in the College of Sciences, Enrollment Management, Division of Student Affairs and Division of University Relations and Development. Ms. Praba returned to Student Affairs in 2019 to join the senior leadership team.

Prior to her return, Ms. Praba served on the University Relations and Development senior leadership team as the director of Employee Development. In this role, Ms. Praba had oversight and responsibility for building a world-class development organization by attracting top talent, ensuring employee engagement and development as URAD professionals and retaining exceptional employees in support of URAD’s strategic objectives.

In her previous Student Affairs leadership position, Ms. Praba served as the director for Resource Management. With operational oversight for financial, human resources and facilities management for the division, Ms. Praba was responsible for the planning, analysis, forecasting and strategic management of all divisional resources.

Current position responsibilities include strategic and operational oversight for several departments within Student Affairs, including Communications Services, Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships, Resource Management and Testing Services.

Ms. Praba holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and master’s degree in public administration.
