CPA Formal Recruitment Fall 2019

In order to be fully registered, all SIX of components of registration need to be completed. Full registration includes the completion of all SIX of the following components:

Registration for CPA Formal Recruitment will open on July 12, 2019 and close at 11:59pm on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 11:59pm. All six of the required components listed above need to be completed in order to be fully registered for recruitment.

Individuals that have completed all six (6) of the required components of College Panhellenic Association's Fall 2019 Formal Recruitment registration process will receive an email** from [email protected] confirming their eligibility to participate in the CPA Fall 2019 Formal Recruitment process. Additionally, this email will provide information regarding the College Panhellenic Association Fall Formal Recruitment In-Person Orientation.

**Please note, after completing all six (6) components of registration, registrants will not immediately receive an email confirming their eligibility. Instead, the Fraternity & Sorority Life Advisory Staff will conduct regular audits of the system and inform registrants of their eligibility on a rolling basis until registration closes at 11:59pm on Saturday, August 24th.

Formal Recruitment Orientation

  • Date: Wednesday, August 28, 2019
  • Time: TBA
  • Location: Aztec Student Union - Montezuma Hall

Formal Recruitment

  • Times and locations may vary by individual schedule each day.

Leadership Day

  • Purpose: Focus on leadership & involvement
  • Friday, August 30th, 2019 (evening) & Saturday, August 31st, 2019 (all day)

Philanthropy Day

  • Purpose: Focus on philanthropy & service
  • Date: Sunday, September 1, 2019 (all day)

Sisterhood Day

  • Purpose: Focus on friendship & shared experiences
  • Date: Monday, September 2, 2019 (all day)

Preference Night

  • Purpose: Focus on the meaning of sorority
  • Date: Tuesday, September 3, 2019 (evening)

Bid Day

  • Purpose: Invitations are extended to new members
  • Date: Friday, September 6, 2019

CPA Membership Eligibility and Recruitment Registration

Membership Eligibility

According to the NPC, an individual who is or who has ever been an initiated member of an existing NPC sorority shall not be eligible for membership in another NPC sorority.

Additionally, make sure to review the eligibility requirements listed on the Go Greek! How to Join webpage. The CPA website is another helpful resource when considering eligibility requirements.

Formal Recruitment Registration

Registration opens on the first day of New Student Orientation.

Step 1: Pre-Recruitment Education Program

Prospective members interested in joining the CPA community should complete the online Pre-Recruitment Education Program BEFORE participating in any recruitment events. Complete the Pre-Recruitment Education Program (PREP)!

Step 2: ICS Registration

Registration opens on July 12, 2019 and closes at 11:59pm on Saturday, August 24, 2019.

Step 3: Registration Payment

  • Early-bird Fee: $75 (July 12 - August 1)
  • Regular Fee: $100 (August 2 - August 27)

Step 4: Alcohol e-Check Up To Go

All incoming students (first year and transfers) must complete the Alcohol e-Checkup to Go program before they register for spring classes. However, students who are participating in CPA Formal Recruitment must complete this prior to participating in recruitment. Returning students are encouraged to complete the assessment even if they have completed it in the past.

Step 5: Marijuana e-Check Up to Go

All students registering for CPA Formal Recruitment must complete the Marijuana e-Checkup to Go.

Step 6: Potential New Member Orientation (PNMO) Online Training Module

All students registering for CPA Formal Recruitment must complete the Potential New Member Orientation (PNMO) Online Training Module.

Continuous Open Bidding Process

Prospective members interested in joining the CPA community through the Continuous Open Bidding (COB) process should complete the online Pre-Recruitment Education Program BEFORE participating in any recruitment events. Be sure to complete the Pre-Recruitment Education Program (PREP). This is the only step to registering for COB.

If a CPA chapter is eligible they may extend bids (invitations to join) to eligible potential new members after the conclusion of the formal recruitment period and only during the fall and spring academic semesters. Continuous Open Bidding may not occur during the summer academic term or during any University recess.
