Through a partnership with Jewish Family Services (JFS), the HELS initiative assists current SDSU students, staff, and faculty can access personalized Immigration Legal Services from highly qualified legal practitioners. JFS Immigration Attorneys and Department of Justice Representatives are available at SDSU to provide culturally competent, trauma-informed, and reliable expertise to the campus community.

SDSU’s Economic Crisis Response Team (ECRT) aims to bridge the gap in resources for students experiencing immediate food, housing, or unforeseen financial crises that impact student success.

Supplemental Grocery Assistance Program (SGAP) provides eligible students with additional funding to reduce food insecurity. You may be eligible if you:

• Are enrolled in Fall 2023
• Have a financial need around food
• Meet the income requirements for CalFresh but do not qualify

                                                                                                                                  The SDSU Career Services Office is available for students to receive guidance on creating a resume and cover letters, prepares you for interviews, provides a platform online for job opportunities and internships, and other related services.

Through the Economic Crisis Response Team, the Associated Students Food Pantry provides nutritious food and food program referral services for SDSU students experiencing food insecurity. 

Student Health Services is staffed by fully licensed and certified health professionals who are dedicated to the college community. No-cost or low-cost medical services include outpatient evaluation and treatment of common medical problems, preventive care, health counseling, immunizations and psychiatric treatment. Specialty care services, including orthopedics and travel medicine, are available for additional fees. All services are provided at our offices in the Calpulli Center.

Mental health is an important for the overall well-being of students. Through health matters, students can seek services for mental and emotional health. 

Let’s Talk is an SDSU Campaign to help the campus start the conversation on Sexual Violence. Through the Let's Talk Campaign, training is provided for students across campus.

Talk It Out counselors are mental health professionals who are ready to hear you out when your day gets too overwhelming. Although it is helpful to talk about immediate issues, Talk it Out is not a substitute for therapy and does not constitute mental health treatment.

Legal and financial services are also available free of charge for enrolled students who are in need of a consultation.

United We Dream is the largest immigrant youth-led community in the country. The organization provides resources for DACA, Deportation Defense, Immigrant Made, know oyur rights, and undocu health to provide that support for indivduals with immigrant backgrounds.

MALDEF is the nation’s leading Latino legal civil rights organization to protect and defend latino rights. The organization provides opprotunity for scholarships, leaderships programs, immigrant rights, voting rights, access to justice, and education. 

Ready Now San Diego is a local immigrant resource website for immigrant families living in San Diego County. The resources they offer focuse on advocacy, education, and services in support of immigrant families.

The San Diego Immigrant Rights Consortium brings together more than 50 diverse organizations across San Diego County that advocate for policies that advance the civil and human rights of immigrants and refugees.

The San Diego Rapid Response Network is a coalition of human rights and service organizations, attorneys, and community leaders dedicated to aiding immigrants and their families in the San Diego border region.
